Fax From John Kiernan Regarding Station Matters
This is a great addition to the site courtesy of Steve Greenfield. This 6 page handwritten fax was sent to Steve for a station director's meeting on March 7, 1994, while John was at home recuperating from surgery.
Steve offered some background on the fax:
John was at home recovering from surgery. I had asked him why he was going to the hospital. He said, in his snarky tone, "I'm getting a new dick." I said, "If you don't want to tell me the real reason, that's fine, I understand." Slightly annoyed, he repeated it, indicating that WAS the reason. "I'm getting a new DICK!"
Funny thing is, he gave a similar response for why he was sending back our first reverb unit as he did for going to the hospital, "I'm sending the damn thing back because it doesn't work right."
Consensus is he was a little loopy in the fax, as he may have morphed 2 weeks together. People were saying, "The sports promo is correct. I don't know what John is talking about." -Steve Greenfield
